More information on our Golden Retriever Puppies

All of the puppies above are available and ready for their new homes. We understand many people may have little or no knowledge about this dog breed before owning one. Scroll down below and read more about the golden retriever dog breed

Temperament:

The golden retriever is warm towards people but can be unfriendly towards other dogs. The golden retriever has a strong prey drive, so he should not be left alone with smaller animals. Since he longs for human interaction, he cannot be left alone for long periods as he can get destructive when bored or lonely.

The golden retriever is a very intelligent and quick learner but tends to be impulsive and stubborn. Owners should be firm and consistent, and take on the alpha role in order to establish the strongest bond. The best way to train this Terrier dog breed is to reward good behaviour instead of punishment for faults.

The golden retriever is known to excel in various dog sports including fly ball, advance obedience, and agility training. The golden Retriever breed does not bark much, making him suitable for apartment living. However, you must check your area or landlord for any restrictions. The Stafford breed is not a big barker; however he could be noisy in different ways like snoring, grunting, groaning, and even yodelling.

Nutrition and Feeding:

An adult golden retriever dog needs 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 cups of excellent-quality dry dog food per day. His high energy needs are paired with high-nutrient requirements. However, like in every breed, the amount of food depends on his age, size, build, activity level, and metabolism.

Make sure to select a dog food that is rich in protein. Protein, such as beef, fish, eggs, and poultry, helps to build and maintain the dog’s muscle, organs, bones, and immune system.

Whereas good fats, such as chicken fat, lamb fat, and fats coming from sunflower oil, provide energy.

Health and Exercise:

The golden retriever dog breed has an average lifespan of 12–14 years. Many ailments and health conditions are hereditary, meaning they are associated with the dog’s breed.

Though golden retriever are a very good breed, if not well taken care of, they may suffer from illnesses like Hip Dysplasia, Persistent Hyperplastic Primary Vitreous (PHPV), Cyclic Follicular Dysplasia. Thus your golden retriever needs to feed healthy and well taken care of. Make sure they do a lot of exercises and take them on walks as they have enough strength in them

Grooming:

Goldens heavily shed their thick, water-repellant double coat once or twice a year, and they also shed more moderately on a continuous basis. Most of the time, a good brushing-out with a slicker brush once or twice a week will remove much of the dead hair before it has a chance to fall onto the furniture. During times of heavy shedding, these brushing sessions turn into daily affairs. Baths help to loosen the dead hairs, but the dog must be completely dry before brushing begins. Otherwise, Goldens only need occasional baths to keep them clean. As with all breeds, the Golden’s nails should be trimmed regularly.

Conclusion:

With the above said information, we believe you may have little knowledge about this wonderful and lovely dog breed. We are one of the best private golden retriever in the country. Scroll top now and purchase one of our healthy golden retriever puppies.
